Faculty Position Opening: Graduate Institute of Library, Information and Archival Studies, NCCU
I. Academic Qualifications
1. Professional specialization in Library Information, Archival Studies & History, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science & Information Engineering, Information Management, Publishing Science & Communication, or closely related fields. Preference will be given to candidates with interdisciplinary expertise spanning both the Humanities & Social Sciences and Information Technology.
2. Applicants who are qualified to teach one or more of the following core courses and who possess strong communication skills in both Chinese and English are preferred: Information Retrieval, Programming, Digital Archiving Applications, or Archival Technical Services.
II. Teacher Qualification Required:
1. Dealing with Teacher Qualification in accordance with “Accreditation Regulations Governing Teacher Qualifications at Institutions of Higher Education” by Ministry of Education.
2. Applicants should submit documents (1 of 2 below):
(1) Two published papers with publication evaluation comments in last five years
(2) One published book with publication evaluation & publishing certificate in last five years

3. A copy of official transcripts from doctoral studies or teacher’s certificate

4. Duplicate of doctoral dissertation and related publications
(Without teacher qualifications, please submit quadruplicate of doctoral dissertation and related publications)
5. Publication List
6. 3-5 proposed courses (including course descriptions and syllabus) that align with the curriculum of our Master’s and Doctoral programs
7. One Recommendation Letters
V. After going through the first trial stage, candidates will be invited to have an interview and to deliver an academic speech (at candidates’ own expense).

VII. The appointment is anticipated to begin from August 1, 2026 or February 1, 2027
