Looking ahead, the Institute will strive to:

1. Attract talent from various academic backgrounds to cultivate a diverse group of professionals for libraries and information institutions, and actively train professionals in archival management.
2. Participate in national cultural development, engage in digital library and digital learning research, and nurture talent for the digital content and digital learning industries.
3. Promote the integration of Library and Information Science, Archival Science, and interdisciplinary studies to create new frontiers in information services.
4. Establish a research center for digital libraries and digital learning, develop laboratories and information systems, and introduce research projects in digital libraries and digital learning to enhance academic research and teaching development, serving as a teaching support platform for the Institute.
5. Actively engage in international academic research in Library and Information Science education, archival and electronic document management, digital libraries, digital learning, and informetrics and evaluation, aiming to become a leading center for research in Library and Information Science and Archival Science.
